Family Ministry Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Family Ministry Assistant at Grace Community Church. This position will support and assist our children's ministry director, student ministry director, and family ministry pastor in a non-denominational church setting.

Ministry Area: Family Ministry

Time Commitment: Part-Time (22hrs/wk)

Reports To: Family Pastor

Essential Functions:

• Assistant to Family Ministry Pastor and other members of Family Ministry team
• Assist in and complete all jobs as assigned by the Family Ministry Pastor and other members of the team
• Ordering of supplies for Family Ministry areas and staff
• Oversee printing, copying, and cutting of weekly curriculum for Family Ministry areas (Early Childhood, Elementary, Students)
• Oversee mailings for family ministry areas each week
• Create and send communications as needed
• Attend weekly staff meetings
• Attend weekly Family Ministry meetings
• Receive and communicate any bulletin announcements from Family Ministry staff
• Help keep family ministry areas organized, stocked, and clean
• Input and maintain check-in information in database system
• Answer phones and assist in scheduling
• Oversee Check-in procedures on Sunday mornings as needed in Early Childhood or Elementary areas

Other Functions:

• On occasion may be asked to participate in other various ministry related activities
• Do whatever it takes to further the vision, mission, and strategy of Grace

Minimum Position Requirements:

• Good computer skills
• Must be highly organized
• Have the desire and willingness to quickly learn new skills
• Experience in assistant type duties
• Must work well in a team environment
• Must currently or quickly be able and willing to uphold and cast vision, mission and strategy of Grace Community Church
• Must currently tithe or be willing to begin tithing
• Must be available to be in office on 3-4 days during the week and on Sunday
• Must be flexible and willing to step out of comfort zone when need be
• Must be at least 18 years of age
